Yesterday marked my one month anniversary of getting married. People have been asking me how I like married life, and I have to say - it is pretty wonderful (though half of our first month has been spent in Italy...so it might not be exactly a snapshot of your normal month of married life).
I thought to mark the day I'd share a few of our honeymoon photos. We traveled all over Italy for two weeks, and it was the best honeymoon a girl could have hoped for.
I love Derek because he makes everything we do together more interesting. His brain works in ways I never understand, which means I'm usually delighted by the ideas he has and the things he does because I never would have thought of them.
Which is why when I take photos in front of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, they look like this (boooooring):
But Derek makes the Leaning Tower of Pisa look like this:
And Pompeii look like this:
And Tuscany look like this (from inside the home and in front of the classic Italilan woodburning oven of our new best friend Gabriel, the breadmaker, that Derek met at the farmer's market):
And bike riding looks like this (imagine Katy Perry's California Gurls being kazooed while we ride):
And gelato looks like this:
And every day after the honeymoon has still looked like this (though not always with as much pretty stuff behind us):
All our honeymoon photos are here, if, you know, you are dying to see 2000 more photos like those.
