re: Russian River

I have fallen a little behind in my posting about adventures, but my recent trip to the Russian River with some of my lovely lady friends still deserves a mention. We stayed in Donna's cabin for the weekend, and this little print was hanging on the wall when we walked in:

I think we can say the same thing about being 29 (though I probably looked better in a bathing suit when I was 17).

It was such a fun weekend. We rented boats and went swimming in the river. We walked the cute downtown and ate in diners. We crashed Summer Solstice dance parties. We caught up on important studying for when we returned to san francisco to resume normal interaction with the opposite sex...

(And even had a chance to practice when these dudes crashed our group photo)

While renting our kayaks, I noticed some Splash-n-Swim inflatable toy packaging worthy of posting on Photoshop Disasters. Check out the cheesy Aaron Eckhart lookalikes - in every image he stays the same, but some new increasingly creepy little girl atop a plastic marine animal gets poorly photoshopped in right next to him.

Anyway, the rest of the trip was pretty exciting. We saw a lot of wildlife - like that giant river beaver making a dam?

Or there was that huge turtle that kept almost capsizing the kayaks. ..Probably my favorite was when Prince emerged from the water, hugging his guitar and singing Purple Rain.
I can't believe I forgot to blog about that happening. It was kind of crazy.
